Horse racing tips incoming! Dabble’s very own The Mock Sports has broken down the card at Flemington this Tuesday, which includes the biggest race of them all the $7.75M Group 1, the Melbourne Cup. Best Bet - 13. Commemorative ($2.90) - Flemington, Race 8
This filly is a mack truck of a thing. She is perhaps the most mature of her age grade and with that, this lightly raced girl for the Cummings camp could well and truly do some damage here, especially with that long Flemington straight to really stretch her legs out. We are scared to death of Kimochi, but we think the girl in blue can hold her off. JMac/Cummings is a winning combination, and she is racing like she will eat up 1400m, we expect nothing short of a victory.
Next Best - 15. Call Di ($9.00 / $3.00) - Flemington, Race 9
The barrier could be tricky, but on paper, Call Di is in this one up to its neck and we struggle to see why it is at this price. She has been running only fairly this prep, but to her credit they have tried her as a sprinter a couple times, which is something she is most certainly not. When she got back to the 1400m at Caulfield last start she flew, we can only imagine what she can do at Flemington.
Value Bet - 21. Future History ($20 / $6.00) - Flemington, Race 7
The race that stops the nation, get ready for it, because just like every year, this edition should be an absolute cracker! We are siding with Future History as a bit of a value play. He ran excellently in both the Bart Cummings and Moonee Valley Cup. He has feathers on the back, top rider is booked, and he possesses a wicked turn of foot. We would love to see Doyle become the 2nd woman to win the Cup. We have a really sneaky feeling about this horse, we think a lot of punters have forgotten about him. Fingers crossed he proves us right and gets up at big odds!
