Horse racing tips incoming! Dabble’s very own Dean Watling has broken down the racing for this Friday. Best Bet - 1. Dazzle Legend ($2.70) - Canterbury, Race 1
The Chris Waller trained Dazzle Legend returned to the area sifters up off the back of some slick trials as well as being gelding into this preparation, he jumped well before being asked to take a sit in behind the leader and eventual winner King Of Dubai. This proved costly in the straight when Dazzle Legend was strung up for clear air going to the line at 70%. He strips fitter for that effort and finds himself in what looks to be a slightly inferior race. He maps ideally from gate 4 and I expect Nash Rawiller to find the lead and raise in run. That reads as the right recipe for a dry Canterbury track.
Next Best - 7. Merry Mac Boy ($5.50 / $2.15) - Canterbury Race 6
Merry Mac Boy was set a task first up when resuming for the new stable, he was posted 3-wide the entire trip at Warwick Farm but stuck to the task gamely to run second to his progressive stable mate Accredited. The run overall was impressive considering and I expect him to come on significantly fitness wise form that effort. He maps slightly tricky but can push forward and land up on speed, from there I except him to run a very bold race and prove again tough to run down.
Value Bet - 3. Queen Of The Mile - Canterbury Race 5
This horse has since been scratched.
The best horse at odds on the night is this progressive filly for the ever-consistent Michael Freedman camp, Queen Of The Mile. She returned to form well last start when only beaten 1.4L over the 1200m. She maps ideally here from gate 2 to find the rails in run as well as getting an important 2kg claim of apprentice Jett Stanley. The drop back to 1100m is another strong tick where she holds a 2/4 record. She is right up to winning this race and has come up rather big odds.
