Horse racing tips incoming! Dabble’s very own The Mock Sports has broken down the card at Ascot this Saturday, which includes the $1.5M Group 1, the Railway Stakes. Best Bet - 13. Super Smink ($2.80) - Ascot, Race 7
The WA Guineas looks to be a very good race again this year after last year’s edition was won by boom horse Amelia’s Jewel. I think a filly will take it again this year with Super Smink taking out the contest. She is a deserved favourite after she dominated the Autumn carnival over in Perth and returned super last start, finishing a narrow 2nd. She drops in weight, rises in distance, she can win and win well here, especially with the fact that Parnham sticks, which shows me the camp is very confident that the same jockey/horse combo can get the job done.
Next Best - 1. Casino Seventeen ($2.25) - Ascot, Race 5
The horse is headed towards the Perth Cup, and I think he will be a great chance in that race, but he needs to be getting the job done here first. I think he can and strongly as well mind you. Willie Pike on board after steering it to two strong runs despite not really threating for the win in either of them. Both of them were just below his best distance range and they were fitness builders. Up to 2100m now, he should fly.
Value Bet - 9. Forgot You ($17 / $5.00) - Ascot, Race 8
God, he has a shocking barrier, but Forgot You cannot be counted out as a winning chance in this race. He is as consistent as they come and rarely puts in a bad run. His last start came on Cup Day and he absolutely smashed them. Yes, that was at his favoured distance of 1800m, but he has won over the mile trip and can do it again here. He remains a great each-way shot in my mind to take out the big G1 contest of the day.
