Harness racing tips incoming! Dabble’s very own Tim O'Connor as broken down the racing for this Saturday. Searching high and low, they’ve found our loyal Dabblers the top three harness racing bets of the day. They’ve done all the hard work for you finding the best harness racing tips, so you don’t even have to lift a finger – how nice is that?!
Without further ado, see Tim O'Connor's best bet, next best and value bet from around the grounds this Saturday:
Best Bet - 11. Star Celebrity ($1.90) - Melton, Race 7
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to tell you this girl is flying, with a picket fence form-line that now extends to six races. She's had a spruik on her since before her first start at the races back in 2021 but is now really starting to put it together.
While she'll continue to rise up in grade, she looks clearly the class runner of this Mares Sprint Championship Final and despite the wide back row draw over the short trip, I think she will prove too classy for her rivals.
Next Best - 2. Hes Olly ($6.50) - Melton, Race 1
Found it hard to really nail down a "next best" on the Melton card, but I'm keen to play each-way on Hes Olly in the opening event. This Kiwi import has really started to hit form this preparation and I thought he boxed on gamely from the death seat at Ballarat last weekend when he wasn't able to find the lead.
Before that at Geelong he flashed late to take big ground off Soho Moonraker, who has subsequently run another great race for second this week. He appears a chance of finding the pegs here at Melton and looks a good winning prospect if that occurs.
Value Bet - 10. Bulletproof Boy ($7.50 / $2.45) - Melton, Race 5
This horse is truly an old marvel and looks to have come back even better for his latest preparation as an eight-year-old! He defeated Triple Eight, Better Eclipse and Justalittlesip (all opposition in this race) in a trial at Melton last week before a simply stunning performance first-up at Ballarat on Saturday night.
He came from back and wide in a race-fastest final half of 54.21sec to finish second, defying the pattern which saw first and third placegetters up on speed along the pegs. Love how he has some key rivals off the back row with him tonight and think he'll give this a real shake at nice odds!
And just like that – you've got three awesome tips. Isn’t that awesomely awesome? Yeah, we think so!
