Best Bet - 4. Runwiththetide ($5.00 / $2.35) - Rosehill, Race 3
The Ross McConville trained Runwiththetide was disrespected first up in the market off the back of some impressive trials, he sat up on speed and snuck up under the leaders to win impressively. The overall figures out of that win were impressive, he strips fitter now and looks very well placed second up in BM68 grade.
The rail out on a dry Rosehill deck should see horses up on speed who find the rail to be aided. Runwiththetide maps to settle up on speed and should find the rails, he strips fitter for the first up run and looks suited over 1200m now. He again looks to be big odds around $5.00 and will likely be a firmer.
Next Best - 3. Spywire ($2.15) - Rosehill, Race 1
The Maher and Eustace stable look to have another smart 2YO on their hands with this $520k Magic Millions purchase. The 2YO son of Trapeze Artist was given an easy time of it in his recent 900m trial at Rosehill, he adapted to the trial well showing signs of a professional 2YO.
He went to the line untested but was pulling away from his rivals in second gear. He maps to get a lovely run on debut with the inform Tyler Schiller in the saddle. With even luck I expect him to prove hard to beat.
