Horse racing tips incoming! Dabble’s very own The Mock Sports has broken down the racing for this Saturday. Best Bet - 6. I Am Me ($3.00) - Rosehill, Race 6
I love I Am Me. I think she deserves a slot in The Everest this year and she can stamp her spot if she gets up with authority and I think she can. She is a very simple horse, jump, kick towards the front, hit the front, hold them all off. If the rain stays away for the most part, I can’t see her finishing out of the top 3 and if she gets a clean ride, she will go all the way and win.
Next Best - 2. Cylinder ($1.95) - Rosehill, Race 8
Cylinder surely gets the choccies here, right? He is the best horse in the field by far. Second in the Golden Slipper, as well 6 runs in the top 2 from a 7 start career screams class and this field comes from very sub-par form lines if you are comparing them to Cylinder’s. He was tough when winning last start, barely holding on, but he’ll only strip fitter for that effort. Wet or dry it doesn’t matter, the boy in blue should be getting it done.
Value Bet - 2. Spaceboy ($11 / $3.50) - Doomben, Race 9
There is a joke we have around Mock HQ that this horse’s name should actually be ‘Placeboy’ as all he does is come up short. However, Portelli has finally seemed to realise that and sent him north to find easier company. Last start he was able to smash them and get an ever-elusive win, which I think he can build upon from here. He has drawn wide, but with a clean jump he will go right to the front and look the winner for a long time, he just needs to be able sustain it to the line.
