Harness racing tips incoming! Dabble’s very own Tim O'Connor has broken down the racing for this Wednesday. Searching high and low, he has found our loyal Dabblers the top three harness racing bets of the day. He's done all the hard work for you finding the best harness racing tips, so you don’t even have to lift a finger – how nice is that?!
Without further ado, see Tim O'Connor's best bet, next best and value bet from around the grounds this Wednesday:
Best Bet - 2. Bet Sheza Lady ($2.35) - Echuca, Race 2
Very, very tough meeting tonight on the Victorian border, but I like the chances of Craig Turnbull's maiden mare Bet Sheza Lady in the second event on the card. Her last-start effort was outstanding when she sat parked throughout, made a break at the turn and somehow got back down to charge late for second, beaten just 3.9m.
Before that, the four-year-old was held-up and hit the line hard for second at Swan Hill behind Hopes Choice, who has subsequently won again. This is a very winnable race; she draws well in gate two and gets a golden opportunity to land a first career victory.
Next Best - 3. Miss Hermes ($1.95) - Echuca, Race 8
Next best on the card at Echuca comes from Race 8. Tipping a horse that has won one start from 37 career outings probably doesn't fill you with confidence, but Julie Douglas' five-year-old mare looks ready to prevail once again.
Three of her last four efforts have been good – particularly at Ballarat on August 18 when she was attacked for the lead but still boxed on for a narrow second – and she draws for a shot at finding the front around the tight Echuca circuit. If she finds it, she should be too good. If not, she can still win.
Value Bet - 9. Ifyoulovemeletmego ($41 / $6.00) - Echuca, Race 3
Brad Stevens brings back his four-year-old to the races tonight and I fancy she'll run well at her first start since late May. Ifyoulovemeletmego won a trial in mid-July, but it's her form through the back end of last campaign that makes me think she's well and truly over the odds against modest opposition in race three.
She won well five starts back at Bendigo and was then beaten (a long way admittedly) by handy customers such as Rocknroll Walla, Fiamma, Super Bon and Perfect Class before a spell. It's always tough from wide on the back row at Echuca, but I'm keen to play small the win, heavier the place and hope she gets some luck!
