We head to The Meadows for the Group 1 Top Gun. Exciting young dog Alpha Zulu looks set for his biggest pay day to date. Strong winner in the Cranbourne Cup last start. He should get some room early off the 2 draw and prove too hard to catch. Two starts for two wins at the track. He looks the one to beat.
Next Best - 7. Mac's Damage ($2.00) - Warragul, Race 8
Son of Fernando Bale with a handy record who finds himself in the right race. He was able to score well two starts ago at The Meadows off the same draw. Held out deep throughout last start in a tougher race. Looks well in here and can feature with any luck from a suitable draw.
Value Bet - 8. Moraine Suzie ($9.00 / $2.45) - The Meadows, Race 8
Excellent record here at The Meadows. Back to her best last start where she drifted back last early but proved the superior stayer, picking them off by the home bend and racing away. Can feature again here if she replicates that effort.
