2023 Winx Stakes Day Preview

Horse racing tips incoming! Dabble’s very own The Mock Sports has broken down the card at Randwick this Saturday, which includes the $1M Group 1, the Winx Stakes. They’ve done all the hard work for you finding the best horse racing tips, so you don’t even have to lift a finger – how nice is that?!

Without further ado, see The Mock Sports’ best bet, next best and value bet for the card at Randwick:

Best Bet - 1. Zougotcha ($3.90) - Randwick, Race 7

The best bet at Randwick this weekend just has to be this newly minted 4YO mare for the Waller camp – Zougotcha. She certainly has a stack of class on this field, and it confuses me that she isn’t the field favourite.

Yes, she does have a bad barrier, but she has a love for this track like no other and a jockey that will ensure she isn’t left behind at the jump. James McDonald knows this horse inside and out and he will give her a great run in transit where she will grab cover and wait for her time to pounce late and run over the top of them.

Next Best - 13. Fangirl ($5.50 / $2.15) - Randwick, Race 8

I admit it, I am a fanboy for Fangirl. I have always liked the way she goes about her business. I think she should be a 5+ time Group 1 winner, but unfortunately for her she was born the same year as Anamoe and has had to chase his tail all her career.

She gets her time in the spotlight now and she won’t look back. I am a firm believer that she will have a massive Spring, with this being the kick off point. She jumps, she grabs a spot in the pack, pops to the outside and gives them windburn in the straight.

Value Bet - 8. Taormina ($13.00 / $3.70) - Randwick, Race 9

Look at that, we have only gone and done Race 7, 8, 9, not on purpose, I swear! This Waterhouse and Bott filly is underrated in my mind according to the market. The starting price on Dabble of $13 is well overs for her.

She is 2/2 in her career after two very smart jump, lead, kick, win type runs and yes while they were at midweek level, and she didn’t beat much, she impressed me, nonetheless. Her latest trial was very much the same style, and it was very slick, and she will get a soft lead from the 2nd barrier and prove hard to run down.

And just like that – you've got three awesome tips. Isn’t that awesomely awesome? Yeah, we think so! We love that you love horse racing, and if you want to join other people who also think horse racing is the bees-knees, then look no further than Dabble’s Banter channel, dedicated solely to horse racing.
