Horse racing tips incoming! Dabble’s very own The Mock Sports has broken down the card at Caulfield this Saturday, which includes two Group 1s, the $1.5M Thousand Guineas and the $1M Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes. They’ve done all the hard work for you finding the best horse racing tips, so you don’t even have to lift a finger – how nice is that?!
Without further ado, see The Mock Sports’ best bet, next best and value bet for the card at Caulfield:
Best Bet - 1. Dunkel ($3.70) - Caulfield, Race 1
Race 1, number 1 – does it get better? This boy from the Paddy Payne stable is A grade. He was able to win the SA Derby in very impressive fashion at big odds in the Winter and since he has been kept on ice, as 2024 is his big target.
He comes here with intent to win after some strong jump outs and trials, which indicates to us he will be ready, fit and firing first up. He can win this and win it convincingly despite Aint’nodeeldun being such a short favourite in the market.
Next Best - 2. I Am Me ($8.50 / $2.90) - Caulfield, Race 8
We could honestly have a play on half the field they are all solid betting chances. We are happy to speck I Am Me. The reason being she very easily could have gone to and probably won The Hunter, but the reports are she is coming here instead so the camp must be confident that she can get the 1400m trip.
If she can get the trip, she is a huge chance considering her form lines in the Spring have been around Bella Nipotina, Espiona and Imperatriz. With that considered, this could almost be a slight drop in grade since these are B graders and this Spring, she's been used to A graders. Solid chance at great odds.
Value Bet - 1. Kimochi ($10 / $3.30) - Caulfield, Race 7
It is a fantastic field but quite honestly, we struggle to see why Kimochi is at such a high price. Tropical Squall, Tiz Invincible, Cylinder, Commemorative, these are all the horses that Kimochi has run into this prep which is just about as good as you can get for 3YO’s.
Craig Williams booked, Gary Portelli is apparently very confident and considering she has always seemed to be a 1600m+ horse, she is a fantastic chance at odds. They say #sydneyform is the form and we think they’ll be right again here with this horse.
