Best Bet - 7. Imperatriz ($1.70) - Moonee Valley, Race 7
Straight bat option here, Imperatriz absolutely mauls them in my opinion. She is next level, especially after smashing the clock when beating Giga Kick a few weeks back. The camp has said no to The Everest multiple times because they are keen to be winning races such as this instead to get that Group 1 prestige. So, she is by far the best horse in the race, with this race as a key target in the prep, Opie Bosson comes over the ditch to ride her, she is only going to run super.
Next Best - 1. Unflinching ($3.50) - Moonee Valley, Race 4
Unflinching could be the uncrowned King Of The Valley quite honestly. If you have a look through his stats, you will see that he is a deadset specialist at both this track and distance. He is 5/6 at the track, 6/9 at the distance and he has yet to miss the trifecta in either of them. I’m super surprised that he is not shorter. Yes, he has to carry quite a bit of weight, but often that doesn’t matter in these short sprints, and he should be able to claim the win here quite comfortably.
Value Bet - 10. Sicilian ($26 / $6.00) - Moonee Valley, Race 8
I am licking my lips at the value of this horse in the last. I think placing her at The Valley is a well-suited progression for this Waterhouse and Bott filly who loves to ping out of the gates and set a strong pace. She can certainly utilise that short straight to her advantage and take off around the turn and break their hearts a bit. If you’re on, go each-way and hopefully you walk out of the night with a hefty payout.
