2023 Memsie Stakes Day Preview

Horse racing tips incoming! Dabble’s very own The Mock Sports have broken down the card at Caulfield this Saturday, which includes the $750K Group 1, the Memsie Stakes. They’ve done all the hard work for you finding the best horse racing tips, so you don’t even have to lift a finger – how nice is that?!

Without further ado, see The Mock Sports’ best bet, next best and value bet for the card at Caulfield:

Best Bet - 2. Chorlton Lane ($4.20) - Caulfield, Race 2

Best bet of the day comes in Race 2 on the Caulfield card. I think he can be a great horse to follow in these benchmark races during early Spring, won in really smart fashion in Sydney last start and can go on with it here, I think.

His introduction to Australia has been almost faultless to date with 2 wins and a 4th placing from 3 starts to date. Maher and Eustace think he can potentially win a black type race this Spring, and I wouldn’t be shocked if it did. Should be winning here.

Next Best - 7. Kalino ($4.00) - Caulfield, Race 10

This is a horse that we back just about every start because he is just a measure of consistency. He is never far away from the finish, and he should be forgiven for his poor run last start. I feel like he was just a victim of Jamie Kah being on him for her first race back in a long time, she was rusty.

That is definitely fair enough given the circumstances and he was given a horror ride. Jy McNeil goes on now and Waller is trying him out in Victoria for the first time, which could just be the making of him honestly. Should run well.

Value Bet - 13. Princess Grace ($8.50 / $2.60) - Caulfield, Race 9

Our value bet of the day actually comes in the big one – the Memsie Stakes. I have sided with the Waller trained, American import Princess Grace. She was phenomenal in the Winx stakes finishing a narrow 2nd to Fangirl. The best thing about the run was the fact she was able to quicken down the fence, which was quicksand for most horses on the day.

That really impressed me, and I think if she can utilise the race fitness she would have gained, as well as having Blake Shinn on board, she can run a huge race. Definite value in her to knock off the 3 horses the market loves in Alligator Blood, Mr Brightside and I Wish I Win.

And just like that – you've got three awesome tips. Isn’t that awesomely awesome? Yeah, we think so! We love that you love horse racing, and if you want to join other people who also think horse racing is the bees-knees, then look no further than Dabble’s Banter channel, dedicated solely to horse racing.
