2023 Golden Slipper Day Preview

Horse racing tips incoming! Dabble’s very own Clare Lindop has broken down the card at Rosehill this Saturday, and boy is it a doozy. It’s Golden Slipper Day, which probably the most important Autumn racing day on the calendar.

There are a stack of Group 1s to be run and won on Saturday at Rosehill. Firstly, and most importantly, it’s the $5M Golden Slipper and there are four other Group 1s, which include the $1M Ranvet Stakes, the $1M The Galaxy, the $1M George Ryder Stakes and the $600K Rosehill Guineas.

Clare Lindop has done all the hard work for you finding the best horse racing tips, so you don’t even have to lift a finger – how nice is that?!

Without further ado, see Clare Lindop’s best bet, next best and value bet for the card at Rosehill:

Best Bet - 2. Thalassophile ($3.80) - Race 3, Group 3 Epona Stakes

Has been in great form, winning the past two and looks a great chance to make it a hat trick here. Excelled two back when up to 2000m, winning by almost 2 lengths, so the 1900m won’t worry this mare. JMac and Waller are a lethal combination.

Next Best - 10. Learning To Fly ($6.50 / $2.40) - Race 8, Group 1 Golden Slipper

Undefeated in three career starts, it got a little hairy last time out, but Annabel Neasham said after that she wasn’t fully wound up. Has proven she is not a one trick pony, has the ability to lead and win but can also fly home from the back of the field.

Value Bet - 7. Hell I Am ($9.00 / $3.00) - Race 5, Listed Darby Munro Stakes

Has had a little freshen up since a good Gold Coast run, has since won a trial 7/3. Races really well this track/ distance (three starts for two wins) and has a great jockey on board. To me this is the best each-way bet on today's card.

And just like that – you've got three awesome tips. Isn’t that awesomely awesome? Yeah, we think so! We love that you love horse racing, and if you want to join other people who also think horse racing is the bees-knees, then look no further than Dabble’s Banter channel, dedicated solely to horse racing.
