Best Bet - 9. So Unusual ($4.60) - Race 5, Listed Roy Higgins
This gelding has an excellent will to win. He is shooting for five wins on the trot, after producing a cracking win at this track last start, despite losing ground at the top of the straight. He meets stronger opposition here, but I'm confident he is up to it.
Next Best - 4. Veranskova ($2.70) - Race 1, Good Friday Appeal Trophy
Returning from a spell, and is yet to miss the quinella first-up. She was last seen in October last year, finishing second behind Asfoora, who has since placed in a Group 1 Oakleigh Plate. She is proven down the Flemington straight, and should go well.
Value Bet - 9. Right You Are ($7.50 / $2.65) - Race 7, Group 1 Australian Cup
My value bet is in the Group 1 feature, and it’s a horse who is absolutely airborne! He has won his last five races, including a strong win over this track and distance last start, at a SP of $3.90. This is his toughest test to date, but he is a winner.
