Horse racing tips incoming! Dabble’s very own Dean Watling has broken down the card at Eagle Farm this Saturday, which includes two Group 1s, the $1M Queensland Derby and the $1M Kingsford Smith Cup. He's done all the hard work for you finding the best horse racing tips, so you don’t even have to lift a finger – how nice is that?!
Without further ado, see Dean Watling’s best bet, next best and value bet for the card at Eagle Farm:
Best Bet - 5. Vilana ($7.00 / $2.50) - Race 8, Group 1 Kingsford Smith Cup
Vilana was brillant first up this preparation recording a peak career rating. Second up he was a touch flat but I am putting that down to staying at 1200m. He now rises to the 1300m where he is unbeaten 2/2, he peaks in fitness now 3rd up which is significant and a common trend for the James Cummings yard. The big, long Eagle Farm straight suits his racing pattern as does barrier 12 where can camp just behind the speed. The cherry on top is James McDonald jumping back aboard.
Next Best - 8. Hawaii Five Oh ($3.60) - Race 5, Group 3 Fred Best Classic
Hawaii Five Oh has found form since joining the Waterhouse and Bott stable. He has been showing signs of his talent and finally last start, the penny looked to drop, he stretched his rivals in the Hawkesbury Guineas with a 5L romp. He has been given the once over with one sharp tick over trial over the 1000m. He stays at 1400m and keeps the inform Nash Rawiller onboard from a good gate.
Value Bet - 1. Fashion Legend ($19 / $4.80) - Race 5, Group 3 Fred Best Classic
I am happy to have a two-bet play in Race 5, Fashion Legend trialled up exceptionally well leading into this prep, his record matched with the inferior inside grass first up can be forgiven. He is unbeaten 2nd and did beat the short priced favourite Yellow Brick last prep over 1400m. He draws out but can camp just behind the moderate speed. I am expecting a strong form reversal here by the progressive 3YO.
And just like that – you've got three awesome tips. Isn’t that awesomely awesome? Yeah, we think so!
