Check out all our expert AFL tips for Round 4 below:

Game 1 – Brisbane Lions vs Collingwood Magpies, Thursday 6th April, 7.35pm

What a way to kick off Round 4, the Pies are flying but a few key injuries leave the door open a bit. This Brisbane side looking for the second time this year to bounce back from a very average performance away from home. It is simple, the Brisbane forward line need to fire for them to beat this Collingwood outfit. Work as a forward group not 6 individuals.

Expert AFL Tip: To Kick 2+ Goals – Eric Hipwood

Game 2 – North Melbourne Kangaroos vs Carlton Blues, Friday 7th April, 4.20pm

This is the most intriguing game of the round. Although the Kangas went down to Hawthorn on the weekend, they were without there two best midfielders. Carlton got the win under controversial circumstances, but in the end a win is a win. You would think quality and experience see the Blues win, but the Kangas could surprise.

Expert AFL Tip: Winning Margin – Blues 22+

Game 3 – Adelaide Crows vs Fremantle Dockers, Saturday 8th April, 1.45pm

Both sides managed to get their first wins of the season last week against cross town rivals so have bragging rights. Both dominated the opposition and punished them on the scoreboard. Fremantle looked a lot better with Darcy in the ruck, Adelaide looked better in attack with Thrilthorpe playing and kicking five goals. Home ground advantage may be the difference.

Expert AFL Tip: Winning Margin – Crows 15+

Game 4 – Richmond Tigers vs Western Bulldogs, Saturday 8th April, 4.35pm

The Dogs found some form last week much to surprise of the football world and no doubt will take some confidence from that. Tigers were riddled by injury last week and the fact they were playing the most in form team in the comp did not help their cause. Tigers at the G is a big plus, and a few returning stars will be enough to get them the W.

Expert AFL Tip: Winning Margin – Tigers 18+

Game 5 – St Kilda Saints vs Gold Coast Suns, Saturday 8th April, 7.30pm

My Smokey of the weekend, the Suns pulled their fingers out last week and played some good football against the Cats. The big dogs need to fire against a St Kilda team that look well drilled and confident. The Saints cannot take a trick with injuries at the moment and no matter what you say when a talented player goes out, it's hard to keep replacing them.

Expert AFL Tip: Winning Margin – Suns 8+

Game 6 – Sydney Swans vs Port Adelaide Power, Saturday 8th April, 7.30pm

Although it turned out to be a big margin the Swans are still a quality outfit, just met a better one last week. Port surprised everyone Round 1 beating the Lions but have come back to Earth with a thud. It will not be a walk in the park for the Swans, but Port are no were near consistent enough to beat the Swans at home.

Expert AFL Tip: Winning Margin – Swans 30+

Game 7 – Essendon Bombers vs Greater Western Sydney Giants, Sunday 9th April, 2.10pm

I loved the way the Giants played last week, the two big ins where Kelly and Whitfield made an enormous difference. A controversial free kick cost them a chance to win but they just looked better all around. The Dons are a sit and see for me, time will tell if they can win these types of games consistently, but no way would I be confident picking them any week.

Expert AFL Tip: Winning Margin – Giants 28+

Game 8 – West Coast Eagles vs Melbourne Demons, Sunday 9th April, 5.20pm

It is simple, the trip west for teams in Melbourne is not as daunting as the past. The injuries have hit the Eagles as bad as anyone team in the league which will lead to an easy victory and opportunity for some young Demons to get more quality game time.

Expert AFL Tip: Winning Margin – Demons 48+

Game 9 – Geelong Cats vs Hawthorn Hawks, Monday 10th April, 3.20pm

So, 0-3 is not ideal for any team to start the season off, I think doubting their hunger is a bit much. This team I think understand it is a marathon not a sprint but will need to win this to get a few critics off their backs. Hawks were good last week; young, daring and carefree, which can win you games or get you flogged…this will happen all year.

Expert AFL Tip: Winning Margin – Cats 32+
