Check out all our expert AFL tips for Finals Week 1 below:
Qualifying Final 1 – Collingwood Magpies vs Melbourne Demons, Thursday 7th September, 7.20pm
In the highly anticipated Qualifying Final 1, the minor premiers the Magpies will clash with the Demons in a thrilling showdown set to ignite Thursday night footy. Both teams have showcased remarkable form this season, with for most of the year both teams looking like Premiership favourites.
The Dees solid as a rock defence and the Pies potent attack promise a game filled with intensity and skill. With a spot in a preliminary at stake, expect an electrifying atmosphere and a match that could swing either way. Heart says Pies and Head says Dees.

Elimination Final 1 – Carlton Blues vs Sydney Swans, Friday 8th September, 7.50pm
In the first of two Elimination Finals, it's a clash of titans as the Blues take on the Swans under the Friday night lights at the MCG. The Swans, last year's grand finalists, come armed with experience and determination, while the resurgent Blues, making their first finals appearance in a decade, are brimming with newfound vigour.
This showdown promises to be a tale of contrasting journeys, with the result hanging in the balance. Can Carlton's revival continue, or will the seasoned Swans prove too much to handle? Expect a night of thrilling footy and an outcome that will leave fans on the edge of their seats.

Elimination Qualifying Final 2 – St Kilda Saints vs Greater Western Sydney Giants, Saturday 9th September, 3.20pm
In the surprising clash of Elimination Qualifying Final 2, the Saints square off with a home final at the MCG against the Giants. At the season's outset, few would have predicted either of these teams to reach the Finals, making this matchup a testament to their resilience and growth throughout the year.
The Saints have found renewed energy under Ross Lyon, while the Giants have shown remarkable late-season form. This contest is a testament to the unpredictable nature of Australian Rules Football. With both sides hungry for a win, expect a hard-fought battle of Saints defence minded and Giants Orange tsunami. Fingers crossed my Giants get the job done.

Qualifying Final 2 – Brisbane Lions vs Port Adelaide Power, Saturday 9th September, 7.25pm
In Saturday night's showdown, the Lions face off against the Power. The Lions have been a force to be reckoned with at home, boasting an impressive record and entering the Finals without any significant injuries. Meanwhile, the Power, despite the potential absence of the influential Charlie Dixon, have demonstrated resilience throughout the year after a slowish start.
With both teams possessing unique strengths, this matchup promises a clash of styles. The outcome hangs in the balance, but Brisbane's home advantage and overall form make them favourites, while Ports adaptability could spring a surprise in a game that could go either way.
